Unobtrusive and highly effective: They consist of an elaborately processed mineral composition, that completely changes the cooling process. It does not only adsorb humidity of the bypassing air, but also releases it in a dosed manner. It’s completely self-sufficient due to pressure and temperature differences.
The minerals used in the SmartSaver are characterized by the fact that they only filter water molecules out of the air flow in the cooling process. They adsorb humidity when it’s high in the environment and release it when it’s low.
This minimizes the dehumidification effort as well as the energy consumption and avoids peak loads. The cooling process runs more evenly and therefore much more efficiently.

Adsorption instead of condensation: With conventional refrigeration technology, the dehumidification effort by condensation can account for up to 50% of the entire energy consumption. SmartSaver passively control the humidity level and therefore prevent load peaks. First cool efficiently and then dehumidify efficiently.
Due to its characteristics the minerals act as a molecular sieve and can only take up water molecules due to pressure differences. When moisture is added to the chilled environment, for example through door openings, the pressure of the water vapor and the adsorption increases until the pressure is balanced. Excess humidity, which otherwise would lead to condensation and ice formation, is removed from the cooling process.
In the course of cooling, the pressure of the water vapor in the environment drops, so that desorption starts due to a new pressure difference. The previously adsorbed humidity is slowly released back into the circuit and efficiently removed via the evaporator.
These constant pressure changes prevent load peaks in the cooling process and lead to a permanently lower dew point. This largely prevents condensation and ice formation and makes the cooling process significantly more efficient.
